About the Blogger
I, Ken Curtis, started my insurance career in 1957 with life and health insurance as my only products. I later expanded this to all lines insurance. I have always been known for my honesty, integrity, straight forwardness and outspokenness.

My first public display of this outspokenness was in 1968 when Senator Barry Parker invited me to testify before his committee about auto insurance problems. He invited me because I had written him several letters complaining about the problems that where starting to appear. Yes! We had auto insurance problems back in 1968 and they lasted for nearly 40 years and some will argue they're still here.

I became President of Burlington County Association of Independent Insurance Agents from 1972 to 1974. 1977 was awarded a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation. 1994 Studied the NJ auto insurance problem and presented a solution to the Governor and Insurance Commissioner's office. Was one of the foundering agents and trustee of New Jersey Auto Agents Alliance (NJAAA) in 1995. Appointed by NJAAA to CPAC (Commissioners Producer Advisory Committee) The committee advised and gave input to the NJ Insurance Commissioner about happenings effecting the public and the distribution of insurance. I'm a active member of the Southwest Jersey PIA Advisory council which discusses and tries to find solutions to industry problems.

I never thought of myself as a Blogger despite what you read in the preceding paragraphs. I have always looked for solutions to problems many of which teeter on the edge of the box and sometimes falling out of it. I have been encouraged to put some of these thoughts on electronic paper and distribute them to interested people. They are intended to be helpful and sometimes thought provoking.

I hope they catch your interest. If they do, please pass them on.
